Dereham Town will be looking to reach the next round of the FA Trophy today when they welcome Hanwell Town to Aldiss Park.

Matt Henman's side go into the match off the back of a 4-2 win away at Heybridge Swifts in Ryman Division One North on Tuesday night.

It was a remarkable fifth successive away win for the Magpies, with goals from Ryan Hawkins, Craig Bussens and two from Aaron Kay.

That sends Henman's side into today's preliminary round clash at Aldiss Park in good heart, with the Dereham boss saying: 'We are pleased to be going into the match in good form which we have shown by producing three good away wins in a seven days.

'The away wins have also given us a great sense of togetherness and although it has been a hard grind the away games have produced a really good team bond that will certainly be advantageous to us when we host Hanwell.'

The Middlesex side also play at Step Four of the non-league football pyramid, in Southern Football League Division One Central after being promoted last season.

They have started the season well and currently sit third in the table having won eight of their opening 13 matches.

Henman added: 'We know that Hanwell got promoted last year and have spent a bit of money putting their squad together but we have beaten St Ives in the same league as them as St Neots a level higher.

'We have got to concentrate on what we are good at today and that's what we have done in the last few weeks and it's certainly proved successful and we all want a successful run in the FA Trophy this year.'

The winner will earn a home tie against Enfield Town in the first qualifying round on Saturday, November 1.

Enfield play in the Ryman Premier but have struggled so far this season and sit 19th in the table.
