Wroxham remain without a point and rooted to the bottom of the table.

A second red card of the season rubbed salt in the wound, although the day had started off well enough with manager Damian Hilton able to name new signing Ross Gilfedder, from Kirkley & Pakefield, and central defender Matt Halliday back after unavailability.

But Wroxham struggled to get into any sort of rhythm in the first 45 as Aveley sat back, allowing the visitors plenty of possession, although the creation of any chances was lacking. Defender Adam Plumstead was just wide from 40 yards as the Millers defence allowed him to carry the ball forward.

Aveley went ahead on 20 minute when Elliott Pride saved from Emmanuel Ighorae, but Sherwin Stanley fired home the rebound.

Baker saw a shot blocked at the other end, but eight minutes before the break the hosts doubled their lead, when Ighorae's cross from the left was headed towards goal by Abayom Seymour. Pride pulled off another good save, but Stanley was waiting to head home the rebound.

Sub Jordan Rocastle pulled one back for Wroxham in the 69th minute, following a corner. Gilfedder had a couple of chances, but Wroxham were exposed on the break and were indebted to Pride, who denied Michael Pindy.

The equaliser they deserved just wouldn't come, and in time added on Plumstead was red-carded after an incident in the home penalty area.
