Dereham Town can complete a quick-fire Ryman North double this afternoon to strengthen their play-off push.

Matt Henman's Magpies last played Waltham Abbey on March 10 with a Luke Tuttle brace clinching a vital away victory in their bid to secure a top-five finish. And another victory today is required if Dereham are to keep breathing down the neck of those that occupy the places to reach the end-of-season shoot-out for promotion.

Sixth-placed Dereham have won three of their last four games to tighten the gap between them and Norfolk rivals Wroxham.

They sit fifth and host league leaders Needham Market at 3pm. If the Yachtsmen lose to the table-toppers and the Magpies win they will draw level on 76 points. However, Stewart Larter's Broads outfit have a far superior goal difference.

After the weekend's fixtures both teams will have just four fixtures to play. Dereham's come against Needham (away, Monday), Brentwood (home, Saturday), Maldon & Tiptree (away, Sat April 18) and Cray (home, Sat April 25).
