The old horse racing motto of 'horses for courses' could have been written especially for Dannios, a six-year-old bay gelding from Ed Walker's Newmarket stable.

Dannios won at Great Yarmouth last week and returned for last night's meeting where he made it five wins in five runs on the course by taking the seven-furlong handicap under apprentice jockey Noel Garbutt.

Slowly away, Dannios finally got serious two furlongs out and ran through the field to win at 2-1 to comfortably beat Sunley Place from Mick Channon's stable. The ultra competitive feature race over nine furlongs went to the Richard Fahey trained Nemushka. Slowly away, Freddie Tylicki rode a super race to deliver the chestnut filly on the rails to take over from long-time frontrunner Amoya.

Nemushka was relatively friendless in the market but got home comfortably to win at 8-1 despite the race being his first over further than a mile.

Favourite backers got off to a great start when Prince Regal, with in-form seven-pound claimer Michael Murphy on board for trainer Alan Jarvis, easily won the six-furlong sprint at 5-4. A good run in a hot Goodwood contest recently was the clue to the winner who was too speedy for newcomer Speedfit Boy under Tom Queally for George Margarson.

Margarson quickly got compensation when his Indiana Guest won at 14-1 in the seven-furlong handicap. Queally kept the gelding up to his work and he won well from fellow 14-1 shot New Romantic and joint favourite Dark Orchid.

Punters' favourite Hayley Turner had a disappointing ride on well-backed Exceedexpectations for trainer Michael Bell in the mile handicap which was won well by Stevie Donohoe on Enriching for trainer Lydia Pearce at 9-2. Sanad finished runner-up and outsider of the eight-strong field Desert Red, was third.

Whiskey Junction had won once in his last 38 races but he had his moment in the evening sunshine in the five-furlong dash, Luke Morris getting the Micky Quinn trained gelding home at 5-1 from Miss Polly Plum and Excellent Aim.

Morris went on to complete a double in the finale. Adopting the same tactics as when he won on a Sir Mark Prescott horse last week, Morris pushed Prescott's Between Us to the front from the start and held on for an all-the-way success to take the longest race of the evening, over a mile and a half, at 9-1.

The next meeting at Yarmouth is on Tuesday afternoon with the first race at 2pm.
