Halesworth Angel's Mark Todd, John Catchpole and Ian Catchpole, who won the National triples title at Worthing last August, represented England at the British Isles Championships in Edinburgh.
Having opened with a 21-20 win over Jersey, they overcame the Ireland representatives 23-22 in a thrilling semi-final, the highlight of which was a six on the 14th end. Wales, however, had the Suffolk men's measure in the final, winning 22-13.
Ian Catchpole has again been selected to play for the England Under 25 team in the Home International Series to be played at Worthing in September.
