Norfolk will have two representatives at the Grand Final of the Faldo Series in September after Amber Ratcliffe booked her place in the event for the second year running.

The Royal Cromer youngster, who was second in the under-16 section in 2011, was in a higher age group this time, but that didn't stop her from joining earlier qualifier Tom Clements from Royal Norwich in an event that will be hosted by six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo.

Competing at this week's Faldo Series UK Championship at Old Ford Manor Golf Club, Barnet, Amber played against many older competitors in the under-21 section but that didn't stop her from making it through to the Loch Erne Resort in Northern Ireland.

She posted a four over par total of 148 after rounds of 76 and 72, five shots better than her nearest challenger, and will now be tackling the top under-21 women from various qualifying events at Loch Erne between September 11 and 13.

Faldo launched the series in 1996 to provide opportunities for young golfers to improve their game in a competitive enviroment.

There are over 1,200 participants between the ages of 12 and 21 each year and the top 60 players qualify for the final.

Notable graduates so far include US Open winner Rory McIlroy – who is attached to the Loch Erne Resort and may be present on finals day – multiple women's major winner Yani Tseng and former European Tour star Nick Dougherty.
