Snetterton plays host to the second half of the 12 race series with Charlie Butler Henderson keen preserve the lead he has recently taken from team-mate Gareth Howell.

Currently splitting the two team mates is Ben Winrow, fresh from a pair of BMW victories at the Norfolk track, and he will be keen to snatch the lead away from the local racers.

James Blyth from Brundall proved rapid in the opening events in the series until he was barrel rolled out of the races at Silverstone.

Frenchman Maxime Jousse holds a five point advantage over the young Briton Nigel Moore in the Formula Palmer Audi Championship.

In the three races held so far Jousse has won twice while Melroy Heemskerk triumphed in the other while Moore has consistently finished on the podium.

The GT Cup provides a stunning mix of powerful supercars that will blast around Snetterton leaving a high pitched wail and plenty of tyre smoke. Currently just two points separate the top three in the chase for the title, with BMW M3 racer Keith Webster heading Marco Pullen's Ferrari 360 and the Porsche 997 of Jim Geddie.

Jody Firth and co-driver Warren Hughes hold a ten point advantage in the Speed Endurance Championship and will prove hard to defeat in the three hour sportscar race on Saturday.

The MSV Track Day Trophy series makes its debut at the circuit while the Sports Racing category closes the 12 race weekend programme which starts at 12.20pm on Saturday and from 11.25am on Sunday.
