Acle complete a title double

Having secured their fourth successive Hansell's Premier League title earlier in the week Acle scored a double when they won the Lord Fermoy Cup double rink championship by beating Downham Market in the final by 35 shots to 28. Acle won on both rinks with Paul Webb's four beating Peter Chestney and Andy Siely beating Peter Boldero.

n In their latest match in the Eastern Counties League Norfolk beat Bedfordshire 126-107 at County Arts. Trailing by two shots at the halfway stage a strong second half performance led by the rink skipped by Freethorpe's Rob Parker and backed up by Mark Turner's four saw the county secure a comfortable victory.
