City reserves ran out convincing 5-0 victors at Stevenage Borough this afternoon in what was their first of two fixtures this week, with Luton Town visiting Colney on Thursday.

Ricky Martin's side dominated proceedings throughout and went a goal up as early as the 15th minute when Robert Eagle was brought down inside the area allowing Michael Spillane to step up and convert a spot kick.

Stevenage then enjoyed more of the ball but they rarely troubled Steve Arnold in the Norwich goal. Two minutes before the break, City doubled their advantage when Patrick Bexfield raced onto a delightful through ball from Bally Smart before slotting the ball past Potter in the Borough goal.

Fifteen minutes into the second half and Smart was again the provider, this time sending in a far post cross that was converted by Eagle.

With 64 minutes on the clock it was the turn of Smart to find the net when he rounded the 'keeper to slot the ball home after collecting an inch-perfect pass from Kris Renton. A rampant young Canary side completed the scoring on 66 minutes with arguably the best reserve team goal of the season when sub Damon Lathrope unleashed an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.
