Old Buckenham all-rounder Braan produced the fireworks on day one of the Lucas Fettes Norfolk League season with a whirlwind century and a key bowling performance in the battle of the Buckenhams.

He hammered 10 sixes on his way to 113, dominating a 182 total. New Buckenham fell 44 runs short - Braans taking 4-13.
In Division Two league secretary Tim Porter proved that he can perform good work on the pitch as well as behind the scenes, scoring 76 for Bungay A.

Hales A only notched up two Division Four victories last season - but they have one on the board aleady this term thanks to a half century from veteran left-hander Matthew Plummer, and youths Josh Kingsley and Chris Read who shared six wickets as Winterton A fell 56 runs short of the Hales 145 total. Jeremy Cocks took 5 for 23 as Aylsham dismissed Overstrand for 93 on their way to winning a low-scoring Division Two affair by seven wickets.
