Norwich City legend Efan Ekoku has recalled his days playing in Europe for the Canaries - in the form of the shirts he wore during that period.
Ekoku assisted in both City's qualification for the UEFA Cup and their run to its third round, moving to Carrow Road midway through the 1992-93 season.
He was the first player to score in European competition for the Norfolk club, breaking the deadlock in a 3-0 first-leg win over Vitesse Arnhem. It's his failure to do so again he remembers best, however.
Asked by the Daily Mail about the favourite shirt he wore during his career, the former Nigerian international said: "There was one we hardly wore actually when I was at Norwich. When we were in Europe we had a kit we played in at Vitesse Arnhem. I think we only wore it in that game, but I loved that kit. I liked the colour.
"We drew 0-0 and I missed three great chances so I should probably put that one to bed really, but the colour was nice.
"I can tell you the worst kit - the one everyone remembers. It’s in a list of - I can’t say the word - ‘S … H …’ kits. The Norwich home kit from 1992-94. It just looked horrible."
