Norwich City will face second tier side Kaiserslauten as part of their pre-season campaign, the German club have confirmed.

The friendly will take place at the Red Devils' Fritz Walter Stadion at 2pm local time on July 15, in the hosts' first fixture of the summer.

The Canaries are expected to spend an extended period of their pre-season abroad, as well as having fixtures in the UK, including at their Carrow Road home stadium.

Their Championship season kicks off the weekend commencing August 4, having completed the 2022-23 campaign on May 8.

Head coach David Wagner and sporting director Stuart Webber are hoping to have a significant proportion of their transfer business done by the time players return to Colney for testing, with Ashley Barnes and Jack Stacey two confirmed arrivals.

Experienced centre-back Shane Duffy is also on the Norfolk club's radar, and is reportedly close to becoming City's third signing of the off-season.

Kaiserslauten finished ninth in the 2. Bundesliga last term, having been promoted from the third division in 2022. They're managed by Dirk Schuster, and will welcome David Wagner's side to their 49,850-seater stadium in southern Germany.
