The Norman round-towered church of St George at Shimpling, near Diss, will be hosting two open days over the May Day bank holiday weekend.
The church, which is the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, will be open between 11am and 4pm on both Sunday and Monday, May 6 and 7. After lunch, on each day, there will be someone on hand to share some of the stories the building, and people associated with it, have to tell.
The Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity which cares for historic churches that are no longer required for regular worship by the Church of England. St George's church is one of over 340 churches in its guardianship.
