You wait ages for a vintage bus to come along and then suddenly more than a dozen turn up at once.
Full details of Sunday's classic bus rally around the city can be revealed today by the Evening News.
Around 20 buses from the 1940s-1980s will be winding their way through four routes setting off from County Hall.
Spectators will see the shining buses pass through the city and return to the hall as if returned to their glory days.
An additional route will be operated by Patrick Burnside of Thorpe St Andrew who will be running his free-to-ride bus, the 13a and 13b, from St Stephens Street to Costessey.
He will proudly display his fully restored half cab Bristol L5G saloon, fleet number LL 711, which was new to Norwich's Surrey Street depot in July 1950.
Mr Burnside, 55, said: 'This gives people the chance to ride the buses again and see the vehicles they haven't for the past 40 years.'
The bus-enthusiasts first love was a LKD 201 (VVF 201), a bus dating from 1958, which had carried its last fare paying passengers towards the end of the 1975 Yarmouth summer season.
Three voluntary groups are involved in Norwich Classic Bus Running Day including the East Anglia Transport Museum in Lowestoft, the Eastern Transport Collection in Attleborough and the Ipswich Transport Museum, who will provide former Eastern Counties Omnibus Company vehicles.
