Red diesel siphoned from boats in Brundall

Police are urging boat owners to be vigilant and report incidents of suspicious activity after thieves targeted boats in Brundall.

The thefts, reported at the weekend, happened at the Norfolk Yacht Agency in the Riverside Estate sometime in the last few months, with owners only now returning to their boats following the winter.

About 180 litres of red diesel had been siphoned from one boat while more than 770 litres has been taken from another.

PC Paul Bassham, from Broads Beat, said: 'We acknowledge the potential time frames for these incidents are lengthy, however we would be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything out of the ordinary in this area.'

Anyone with information should call 101.
