PUBLICISING A PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR A DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDER (DCO) TO CONSTRUCT, OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND DECOMMISSION AN OFFSHORE WIND FARM KNOWN AS THE HORNSEA PROJECT THREE OFFSHORE WIND FARM 1. Notice was given in July and August 2017 that DONG Energy Hornsea Project Three (UK) Ltd, now Orsted Hornsea Project Three (UK) Ltd, of 5 Howick Place, London, SW1P 1WG (hereafter referred to as 'the Applicant') intends to apply to the Secretary of State for a DCO under Section 37 of the Planning Act 2008 for the construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of an offshore wind farm generating station ('Hornsea Three'), with a generating capacity of up to 2.4 gigawatts, and associated development to connect the wind farm to the national grid. 2. DONG Energy (the Applicant) has changed its company name to Ørsted, following the recent divestment of the company's upstream oil and gas business.
