Norwich wrestler Paige has been suspended for the second time in two months by the WWE for violating the organisations wellness policy.

The 24-year-old received a 30-day ban alongside her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio for her first contravention of the rules in August but this time she will serve a 60-day suspension.

Paige, real name Saraya-Jade Bevis, responded to the ban on Twitter and told her 1.6m followers: 'Same **** different day. Kids..Please don't get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable. Rules apply depending on your status.'

The former Hewett School student has not appeared on TV since she was drafted into the WWE Raw in July due to a neck injury and her dad Ricky Knight, who owns World Association of Wrestling in the city, hit out at the WWE for not treating his daughter's injury properly.

He said in a Facebook post: 'She has been in pain and out of ring action for a fair while now and has been prescribed pain killers which apparently is against the wellness program.

'I feel my daughter has been let down big time in the USA and the proper care and advice needed in the position she has been in has not happened.'

In response to Paige's and her father's comment the WWE told the New York Post; ''Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug.

'In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.'

The organisation implemented its WWE Talent Wellness Program in 2006 and it includes substance abuse and drug testing, cardiovascular testing, ImPACT, testing for brain function, annual physicals and health care referrals.

Paige started wrestling aged 13 and she became a household name in the wrestling world in 2014 when she was named the NXT Women's Champion and the WWE Divas Champion, the only person to hold the titles concurrently.
