Norwich murder victim named as police reveal he died of severe chest and facial injuries

Police have today confirmed the identity of a man murdered in Norwich at the weekend.

Michael Currer, known as Mick to his friends and family, aged 59, was found dead at his home in Saffron Square on Saturday.

A Home Office post mortem examination concluded Mr Currer died as a result of severe chest and facial injuries sustained from an assault.

A seal remains in place at the property and detectives from the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team are continuing with their enquiries.
