ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent is sending its team to The Britannia Pier to scour the borough for its biggest talents.

Successful acts will then have the opportunity to audition in front of Simon Cowell and his team of judges in the 2017 competition.

Auditions are open to performers of all age and talents - from magicians to comedians, drag acts to singers, and acrobats to animals.

Executive producer, Amelia Brown, said: 'We've had some amazing winners over the last ten series, from this year's champion Richard Jones, who was the first magician to ever win the show, right through to Paul Potts, Diversity and Collabro.

'We can't wait to see what talent Great Yarmouth has to offer.

'Anyone can apply - there is no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents, so if you feel you have something special to show us then make sure you apply, you never know where it might take you.'

Keegan Snell, pier manager, said: 'This is fantastic news for us - it will help us to put the town on the map and we're all very excited.

'I'm looking forward to seeing lots of new faces and hopefully some great acts taking part.'

Auditions take place between 7pm and 10pm on Friday, October 21.
