From Norwich to Narnia - young performers are presenting a production of the classic story The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

About 50 young people aged seven to 17 have spent the last two weeks creating the show which has taken to the stage at The Garage today and will also be performed tomorrow.

Rachael Morrison, the show's director, said the production stayed true to the CS Lewis story but was given a new twist with some original songs created for the show.

She said: 'The cast have been an absolute pleasure to work with and we have really enjoyed putting the show together. It's been a great way for the young people to gain new performance skills while also increasing their confidence and making new friends.' Ed Dyer has written the script for the show and the musical director is Sam Sommerfeld.

The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe is being performed at The Garage in Norwich today at 3pm and 6pm and tomorrow at 1pm and 3.30pm. Tickets £5. For more information and to book tickets, call 01603 598646 or visit www.thegarage.org.uk
