Emergency services were called to a village after a young boy got his leg caught in a push bike he was riding.

A fire engine was called from Long Stratton when reports came through of a five-year-old who had become entangled with his bicycle on Church Road in Wacton.

An ambulance also attended the scene of the incident, which took place today at just after 1pm. It is believed that the boy was hurt after coming into difficulty with the cog and chain on the bike.

However, it was after help from the fire team using minor equipment that he was freed with only minor injuries, and it was after receiving casualty care that it was decided that he did not need to be taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further medical aid.
