A high school student has begun her summer plan to bake cakes for the homeless.
Last week Maisie Moody, 11, from Mileham, near Dereham, delivered her first batch of cakes to The People's Picnic, a grass-roots organisation that serves food to the homeless every Tuesday and Saturday.
She announced her plan of baking for the homeless in a letter that she handed to her teachers at Litcham School just before the end of term, in which she said she'd noticed the homeless don't get treats.
She asked if the teachers would support her by donating ingredients for the cakes.
The school posted her letter on social media where it got the attention of over 15,000 people, including from Tesco in Swaffham and Sowerbys who said they would offer their support.
Her mother, Lisa Moody, said on Monday: 'Maisie is making her second batch today and is overwhelmed by the support her teachers have given her with ingredients.'
