Sales of pantomime tickets in West Norfolk saw a recession busting increase.
A report to councillors says that 18,450 tickets were sold for Cinderella, at the Corn Exchange in King's Lynn.
The figure represents an increase of 20pc on 2010's production of Jack and the Beanstalk in Lynn.
The panto brought in an income of 225,880, the report to councillors says.
Cinderella starred former Eastenders actress Letitia Dean as the Fairy Godmother, in a four-week run at the Corn Exchange.
There was controversy two years ago when the council announced it would be moving the pantomime from the Princess Theatre, at Hunstanton, to Lynn, as part of a wider arts shake-up.
But officials said that the larger and more modern Corn Exchange offered scope for more ambitious productions and affects.
