A donation of £2,000 has been made to a centre that supports young people with complex eating disorders by Wymondham's Doric Lodge.
Enda Murphy, representing the centre, accepted a cheque from Alistair Rolfe, the past master of Doric Lodge.
It is tradition that each master nominates a charity to receive all funds raised by the lodge during his year in office.
The Phoenix Centre has become important in the lives of Mr Rolfe and his family due to the help and support it has been able to offer one of his own children.
The centre, which is situated on the Ida Darwin Hospital at Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, specialises in the care of young people between the ages of 13 to 18 who suffer from mental health issues and in particular complex eating disorders.
The unit is able to offer both inpatient and day patient care.
It is open seven days a week and is staffed by a group of professionals by Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust specialist service directors.
Ms Murphy said that the staff were incredibly grateful and agreed with the suggestion that the funds should be used to provide patient recreational activities and equipment.
