A cancer support charity has received a 10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund to help improve the access to its Wymondham headquarters.

Star Throwers received the funding from the Awards for All programme, which will be used to resurface its driveway and fill in potholes. Work is due to go ahead in August.

Steven Ho, from the charity in Melton Road, said they were 'absolutely delighted' with the funding to provide a more accessible entrance route for patients, volunteers and visitors.

He added: 'The centre is fully-equipped and acts as a comfortable and safe environment for people affected by cancer to come and receive treatment, advice or just relax. Our thanks must go to the Big Lottery Fund for helping to support our work and people across Norfolk affected by cancer.'
