A series of short radio plays is being produced to celebrate 1,000 editions of a talking newspaper.

Wymondham-based play writing group Four by Four has teamed up with Wymondham and Attleborough Talking Newspaper to mark the milestone of the service, which was set up to provide news and information to people with visual impairments.

Four by Four members Lou Bets, Richard Crawley, Alan Huckle and Tony Vale will be joined by guest writers Jenny Devaux and Robyn Franklin and will present six 15 minute radio plays at the Fairland Church Centre in Wymondham on Monday, October 23 at 7.30pm.

Each of the plays will have a reference to '1,000' and will be recorded as a special supplement to the 1000th edition of the talking newspaper. They will later be for sale on CD. Tickets are £6 and can be booked on 01953 861336 or e-mail playline4x4@hotmail.co.uk
