Police were called by the ambulance service at around 1:15pm on Saturday, June 15, following reports that a woman's body had been found at a house on Normanston Drive in Lowestoft.

The death of the woman, who was in her 40s, is not believed to be suspicious.

Next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.

News of the woman's death comes almost 24 hours after a man's body was found at a house on the same road.

At around 2.35pm yesterday, June 16, the East of England Ambulance Service contacted police after reports that a man's body had been discovered at a property on Normanston Drive.

Investigating officers said on Sunday night that the death of the man, who was in his 40s, is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.

Police have, however, confirmed that they do not believe the two deaths are linked.
