A woman was taken to hospital after being knocked over by a cow in a Norfolk field.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call at 12.10pm today (Monday, April 10) to Wymondham Road, Hethel, to a report of an animal attack.

An ambulance crew attended and treated a woman, believed to be in her 50s, who had suffered a head injury after being knocked over by a bullock - a young male beast reared for meat.

The woman was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
