Woman suffers serious injuries after car and lorry crash on A140

A woman suffered serious injuries after a car and lorry crashed on the A140 at Yaxley near Eye, yesterday evening.
The East of England Ambulance service were called at 6.23pm and sent an ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle.
A critical care paramedic was on road at the time of the accident and stopped to assist.
The woman, in her 30s, was conscious and breathing but suffered serious injuries to her head and chest.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue sent once appliance from Eye and Norfolk Fire and Rescue sent two appliances from Diss.
They used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car in order to release the woman.
She was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in a serious condition.
