A woman's social media plea for the public to help locate her eight stolen puppies has been a big success, with almost all of the puppies being returned.
Suzii Hinton from Churchill Street in Gorefield discovered her Staffordshire/Jack Russell cross puppies had been stolen after returning home from a night out to discover the pen where they were kept had been broken into.
Miss Hinton, who has been looking after the puppies since they were born, told the Wisbech Standard: 'Someone broke the lock off the door where the puppies are kept. The door was left open and the pen is ruined. It was deliberate.
'It would mean the absolute world to get them back, I'm worried sick about them.'
A reward was offered for any information about the puppies.
A police spokesman said: 'The door of the back garden pen had been forced open and the litter of eight Jack Russell/Staffy puppies were gone. They are believed to have been stolen.'
Thanks to support from the public with the appeal, seven of the missing puppies have now been returned to Miss Hinton, but she's still hoping to find the remaining one.
In a post on Facebook, she said: 'Thank you all for your amazing help finding the puppies, brilliant news, seven are back but one is still missing. Please keep sharing my posts all over and make him too hot to handle so I can get him home!'
