A woman has beenrescued after falling into the river in Norwich.
The fire service was called to Wherry Road, off Koblenz Road, near to the Novi Sad Friendship Bridge, just after 8pm tonight (Wednesday) to reports of a woman in the water.
Three fire engines from Sprowston, Norwich and Earlham attended the scene. The crews provided casualty care to the woman who was out of the water upon their arrival.
The woman was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by ambulance.
Norfolk police also attended and the coastguard was made aware.
