An elderly woman was taking to hospital with suspected hypothermia this morning, after falling into the River Bure in Stokesby.
A lifeboat crew from Hemsby alongside Winterton and Gorleston coastguard attended the scene, after the woman fell from a vessel hired from a nearby marina in Stalham.
Fire crews from Acle and the Carrow rescue boat were also called to attend, but were stood down when it had been confirmed by the coastguard that she had been rescued.
An ambulance crew, rapid response vehicle and response car also attended the scene, with the woman being taken to the James Paget University Hospital for further care.
She was conscious and breathing at the time, but suffering from suspected hypothermia.
