Eyewitnesses have described how they were 'narrowly missed' by a car as it smashed into the wall of North Walsham's Sainsbury's.
A spokesman for the Norfolk Constabulary said: 'A single car has crashed into the wall, but appears to have hit two other cars before it came to a halt.
'The female driver has now been taken to Cromer Hospital by ambulance, but police remain on the scene.'
The incident occurred at the store on Bacton Road.
An eyewitness added: 'Colleagues were stood around the car, where a stop sign had also been knocked over.'
A spokesman for the Norfolk Fire and Rescue services said: 'We received a call at 11:47 and were on the scene 10 minutes later. We sent two appliances from North Walsham and Mundesley, who helped to make the scene safe.'
It is understood that traffic in the area has not been affected.
