Woman injured after car overturns in two vehicle crash, on the A47, in Swaffham

A woman has suffered an injury to her arm after her car overturned, on the A47, in Swaffham. Two cars crashed near the Procession Lane junction, at around 2.30pm.

One vehicle overturned, leaving the female driver, trapped inside.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and firefighters from Swaffham, Dereham and Watton, freed the driver and made the area safe.

She has been treated for an arm injury which is not believed to be life threatening.

The overturned car is still blocking the A47 and there are delays and queuing traffic in both directions.

Norfolk Police have put local diversions in place.

A spokesperson from Norfolk Police said that the vehicle would soon be recovered.
