A 35-year-old man has been arrested following a distraction burglary at the Lowestoft home of a woman in her 90s.

Police were alerted after a man conned his way into the woman's home at Royal Avenue on Saturday afternoon (September 3), about 3pm to 3.30pm. After he left the woman discovered cash had been stolen from her purse.

Officers arrested the 35-year-old man, from Lowestoft, yesterday (Sunday) and he is currently in custody at the town's police station where he will be interviewed by officers.
