A woman in her early 20s has suffered a broken ankle after being involved in an equestrian accident.

An East Anglian Air Ambulance crew was called to a farmyard in Illington, near Thetford, at around 12.30pm.

Dr Sophia de Maria and critical-care paramedic Gary Steward treated the woman after landing in an open field.

She has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance for treatment and is said to be in stable condition.
