Woman taken to hospital after falling on 40ft high rope bridge

A woman was taken to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after suffering a fall on a 40ft high rope bridge.

The East of England Ambulance Service were called to an address in Hoveton at approximately 12.30pm after reports someone had fallen on a rope bridge. A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew were sent to the scene and treated a woman in her 40s.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to assist the ambulance service to rescue a person from a 40ft height and sent crews from Wroxham, Carrow, Earlham. The Urban Search and Rescue Team were also deployed.

The woman, who was conscious and breathing, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
