Woman dies and two children suffer life-threatening injuries in crash on A17 at Terrington St Clement

A woman in her 20s from Lincolnshire died in a crash on the A17 at Terrington St Clement, near King's Lynn, today.

Two children also sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and were taken to Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge, both in a critical condition.

The crash happened at the junction with Station Road.

Officers were called at around 2pm to reports of a crash between a car and a lorry.

The A17 was closed, with diversions put in place. The road had reopened by 7.30pm.

Two air ambulances, from Norwich and Cambridge, attended the collision, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services sent included two land ambulances, Norfolk Fire Service and Norfolk Accident Rescue Service.
