A 21-year-old woman has died following a three vehicle accident near RAF Lakenheath earlier this week.
The motorist was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries on Wednesday after the crash on the A1065 at Wangford involving a silver Suzuki car, red Ford Mondeo, and blue Ford Escort.
Suffolk Police today confirmed that the local woman, who has not yet been named, died overnight at the West Suffolk Hospital at Bury St Edmunds.
Three US service personnel suffered minor injuries in the crash, but have since been released from RAF Lakenheath's hospital.
