A 20-year-old woman from Birmingham has been arrested in connection with the theft of lead from a church in north Suffolk.
The woman was arrested on Wednesday, March 16, in connection with the theft from St Mary's Church in Cratfield, near Halesworth, overnight on December 4 and 5, 2015.
Police are making ongoing enquiries into 15 lead thefts from churches in Suffolk last year and the woman was also spoken to about further offences.
After being interviewed she has been bailed to return to police in Suffolk on Monday May 16.
She has been given bail conditions not to enter Suffolk.
Anyone with information about the thefts should contact DC Thomas Darville at West Area CID at Bury St Edmunds, by calling Suffolk Police on 101. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
