A woman was airlifted to hospital after a serious fall in Pakefield, Lowestoft, this afternoon.

Emergency services were called around 4.40pm to a car park where a woman, who was believed to be in her 50s, had fallen from a bike.

A volunteer critical care paramedic from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) charity assessed the woman for a serious head injury.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance was also sent to the scene and worked with the SARS CCP to treat the patient.

She was later airlifted to hospital in a very serious condition.
