An elderly woman was airlifted to hospital after suffering a suspected broken leg in a fall at Overstrand beach.
The Humber Coastguard helicopter, which had been due to attend the Happisburgh Lifeboat Open Day, was diverted to the scene.
East of England Ambulance crews and Cromer and Sheringham Coastguard teams were called to the accident at around 1.30pm today.
The patient recieved lengthy treatment before being flown to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
