Witness appeal after driver is assaulted in Beccles

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was assaulted in Beccles.
The incident happened on Friday, November 11, at around 4.30pm in Peddars Lane.
The victim was driving his vehicle, an orange Honda Civic, in the direction of the town centre.
He came to a stop behind a lorry, near the junction of Alexandra Road, where another man who was driving a small white van allegedly got out of his vehicle and approached the victim before punching him in the face multiple times. He then returned to his van and drove off.
The victim sustained a broken nose and required medical treatment.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, with an unshaven appearance.
Witnesses to the incident or anybody who has information on the identity of the suspect are asked to contact the Incident and Crime Management Hub at Suffolk Police on 101, quoting reference 65880/16.
