A window cleaner was knocked over when his hose became trapped underneath a car.

At 6.50am on Wednesday the man was cleaning windows on St Giles Street when a dark-coloured car ran over the hose, pulling the reel from the back of his van.

He was knocked to the floor and he injured his shoulder and had cuts and bruises.

The car drove off and officers want to speak to the driver and witnesses.
