Thousands will be scanning the skies today for a glimpse of the RAF's new stealth bomber.
The first F-35s were due to fly across from America to their new home at RAF Marham yesterday.
But the crossing was postponed due to bad weather out in the middle of the Atlantic.
Plane spotters were expected to turn out in force to see the aircraft.
Farmers had set aside areas of land around the West Norfolk air base to offer vantage points.
MORE - where can you see the F-35s arriveBut just before lunchtime RAF Marham tweeted: 'We are aware that a number of people have come to view the arrival of the F-35 Lightning aircraft.
'Please be advised that it will not be arriving today (June 5), we will continue to post updates as they become available.'
The aircraft could fly over as early as today depending on the weather forecast. But timings will not be made public prior to their arrival for security reasons.
But there were been plenty of other aircraft flying over parts of Norfolk for plane spotters to feast their eyes on.

An RAF spokesman said the aircraft were practising formation flying for the Queen's Birthday Flypast over Buckingham Palace on Saturday.
Aircraft formed up in formation over the north Sea, before flying inland at Southwold, north-west to RAF Marham and on to RAF Coningsby, in Lincolnshire, where the formation dispersed.
Last year 29 aircraft of 15 different types, from eight RAF bases flew over the palace.
This year's line-up has not been publicly confirmed but is expected to include a similar number of aircraft.
It will also be the last to feature Tornado aircraft from RAF Marham, which are about to be retired.
Next year, their place will be taken by the new F-35 Lightning.
The event takes place over the Mall, in central London, after the Trooping of the Colour, the Queen's official birthday celebration.
At the end of the ceremony, the Queen and members of the Royal Family gather on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch the aircraft pass overhead at 1pm.
