Between them, they carry out hundreds of engagements every year.
And while Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are playing a higher-profile Royal role, older members of the family still put them in the shade when it comes to the number of days spent on official duties.
Busiest of all so far this year has been the Princess Royal, who's carried out 127 engagements.
She's followed by her brother, the Prince of Wales, on 101.The Duke of York has clocked up 86, the Queen 53 and the Duke of Edinburgh, who has now retired from public life, 54.
Prince William has carried out 57, the Duchess of Cambridge 54 and Prince harry 57. Figures are for the year until October 6.
