Prince William and Kate Middleton headed to Norfolk after getting engaged.
Their first public appearance after announcing they were tying the knot in December 2010 was the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, at a gala evening which raised £35,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
It remains to be seen whether Harry will follow in his brother's footsteps and bring his bride to be Meghan Markle to see the dazzling Christmas spectacular.
William and Kate settled in Norfolk a year or so after they married, after the Queen gave the couple Anmer Hall, a stately retreat on the edge of a tiny village on the Sandringham Estate.
Earlier this year, the couple returned to live in London after William gave up his job as a pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance to take on more royal duties. There's bound to be speculation over whether Harry and Meghan will also look to the west of the county. He is a qualified helicopter pilot, like his brother - meaning he'd be a shoo-in behind the controls of Anglia One.
There have also been rumours that the Queen was about to gift her grandson a pied-a-terre.
Harry has also been said to have viewed properties in well-heeled Burnham Market and north Norfolk.
If they forsake Thursford this year, the occasion the couple are most likely to be seen is at Sandringham on Christmas Day, when thousands of well-wishers gather to greet the Queen and members of her family as they attend morning service at the tiny carrstone Church of St Mary Magdalene.
While they missed attending in 2010, because of William's work commitments as an RAF search and rescue pilot, the Cambridges drew bumper crowds to Sandringham the following year.
Harry and Meghan may well follow the precedent set their in-laws, who did not stay at Sandringham House itself with the rest of the Royal Family.
They tucked themselves away instead at Wood Farm, on a secluded part of the Queen's estate at Wolferton. The house has sweeping views across fields and reclaimed marshes down to The Wash. It is screened with trees and hidden down a private lane.
If the couple do attend, the latest royal love story is bound to bring the world's media to Norfolk on Christmas Day.
