A woman in an electric wheelchair was left 'shaken but unharmed' after she was punched, threatened and robbed in Dereham.

The robbery happened at about 3pm yesterday as the victim was making her way through an alleyway off Darwin Walk.

When she got close to the car park, she was approached by a man who stopped in front of her and verbally threatened her before punching her left shoulder.

Police said a small quantity of cash was handed over before the attacker ran off in the direction of Dereham ambulance station.

Detectives are searching for a slim man with black hair and a goatee beard. He was aged in his late 20s and was wearing black jeans and a white t-shirt.

The t-shirt had a zip on the front right of the chest and an offensive word in thick black letters on the rear, along with a union jack motif at the base.

Anyone with information should contact Thetford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
