A 'splash evening' at a Swaffham school scheduled for this evening has been cancelled because there would have been too much splash and not enough fun.
Sacred Heart School PTA was due to hold the barbecue event around the pool so parents could enjoy the summer evening.
However, the school told parents in an email this morning: 'The PTA are sorry to announce that they have to cancel the Splash Evening tonight, due to the poor weather.'
A school spokesman said: 'There would certainly have been plenty of splash but maybe not so much fun with the barbecue.'
