It has delighted those with a taste for nostalgia for the past five decades.
And now Weeting Steam Rally is preparing to celebrate its landmark 50th anniversary with an extra special series of vintage displays and demonstrations which will delight history lovers.
The popular event was started in 1968 by Norman Parrott.
Now chaired by his son Richard, it has now grown into one of the biggest attractions on the East Anglian calendar with parades of steam traction engines, lorries and vintage tractors, as well as steam-powered farmyard machines.
This year's event, between Friday, July 20 and Sunday, July 22 will also include heavy horses and fire engines, a model steam train and displays of classic cars, motorbikes and military vehicles.
There will also be working demonstrations every day of steam ploughing, steam threshing of corn, steam powered sawmill, stone crushing and farmyard implements, taking visitors back to a bygone era.
But the organisers will also be going back to where it all began, with some entries from the original 1968 programme.
A spokesman for the event at Fengate Farm, Weeting, on the Norfolk and Suffolk border said: 'Our first show was in 1968, started by Norman Parrott, along with his son Richard who today is rally chairman.
'Richard is very pleased with how the show has grown over the years and the great team that help run the show behind the scenes.
'As a charity, our main aim is to educate on the history, use and conservation of all types of vintage steam driven engines and vintage vehicles and you will certainly see a vast array of this over the three day show.'
Ploughing and cultivating demonstrations using vintage tractors and horses will be taking place throughout the weekend, showing how agriculture has changed and progressed over the years.
Other attractions this year include:
? Gundog displays by Wills Working Spaniels and Britannia K9 will be showing us how they train their wonderful security dogs.
? There will also be heavy horse displays showing of the beautiful giants with various implements as well as a chance to have a chance at long reining a heavy horse to really get the feel of the power and strength behind them.
? Over in the small ring, people can watch the art of chainsaw carving and get a second chance to see the main ring displays from the morning.
? Banham Zoo will be attending this year with its heavy horses, with zookeepers also bringing along their mascots, free goody bags and a fun competition to help keep the whole family entertained.
? The Snakewood Dog Agility Team will give regular demonstrations in their own separate arena.
? There will be a craft marquee and over 60 trade stands.
? Free entertainment will be provided for children over in the Hub with a fenced in safety zone by the main ring.
? New for this year is a food hall situated next to the craft marquee, with a good show of local produce.
? Over on the tractor field will be full sized as well as mini tractor pulling by the Suffolk and Norfolk Tractor pullers.
? The Norton Owners club will also be celebrating a 50th year anniversary with the 50 years of the commando with over 100 Norton Bikes on show.
To enable visitors to see all the attractions on the 170 acre showground, transport is provided, free of charge, in the form of specially built trailers, towed by tractors, fully accessible for disabled access.
Car parking is free and there is a 12 acre caravan and camping site for those who wish to stay for the whole weekend.
The show opens between 10am and 5pm each day.
How much are tickets?
Tickets on Friday are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions, while on Saturday or Sunday they are priced at £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.
